Ship fitting is how a hull becomes a build. Modules occupy a spatial fitting grid with different slot types, shapes, ports, and adjacency rules. Hull, fit, heat, signature, cargo protection, and module choices combine into a ship with a distinct role and risk profile.

Your ship is your build, not a disposable character loadout. Fitting is done in the hangar.
